Quick Tips Preparing Your Tractor For Resale

Thinking about selling your tractor or combine?

A few easy upgrades can make a big difference in catching the eye of potential buyers. Not only will these improvements enhance the appeal of your equipment, but they can also help you secure a quicker sale at a better price. Let’s dive into some simple yet effective ways to spruce up your machinery before putting it on the market.

Detail the interior

Test functionality

Detail the Interior:
Clean and tidy up the cab. Wipe down and polish interior surfaces, upgrade upholstery pieces that are faded or worn.

Upgrade the Seat:
A comfortable seat can make a big difference. Replace worn or torn seat cushions if needed.

Replace Missing or Damaged Lights:
Ensure all lights are functional and replace any broken lenses. This includes headlights, brake lights, turn signals, warning lights, etc.

Service the Engine:
Change oil and filters, check spark plugs (if applicable), and ensure the engine runs smoothly.

Check and Replace Fluids:
Ensure hydraulic fluid, coolant, and other fluids are topped off and in good condition.

Test Functionality:
Verify that all major functions are working properly, including engine start, clutch, brakes, transmission, hydraulics, PTO, and any attachments.
