The duty of a Gas Struts is to assist in safely opening and closing doors, hoods & windows on a wide variety of equipment. So, as you can imagine, Gas Struts are essential components for the operation of your agricultural equipment.

If you notice signs of damage. Check for cracks, leaks, or dents in the strut body or mounting brackets. Gas Struts generally have a lifespan of 5 to 10 years.
Chances are that during the winter season, you will have some downtime. Now may be the best time to make a quick update like replacing your Gas Struts. Winter’s low temperatures can be hard on Gas Struts. Consider using this time to replace your old Gas Struts for new, heavy-duty Gas Struts from Hy-Capacity.
When installing new lights. It is commonly considered a good idea to replace your Gas Struts whenever you update your Headlights or Cab Front lights. This is due to how heavy new, higher-quality lights are compared to old lights that weren’t as heavy duty. Your newly installed gas struts will have the strength to take on the load of your new LEDs.
